Brief

Elevate a best-in-class wallbox with engineering & DFM improvements while preserving its iconic material language and discreet, architectural presence on the home exterior.

Approach

  • Mechanical architecture for easy assembly, service and field replacement.
  • Cable-stowage solution integrated behind the front fascia for a clutter-free look.
  • Thermal pathing, gasketing and drainage to support outdoor duty.
  • Compliance-ready layout (creepage/clearance, bonding, strain-relief).

Result

  • Clean façade with interchangeable fascia options (e.g., timber slats, composite panels).
  • Improved manufacturability and installation workflow.
  • Robust enclosure strategy with better part commonality.
  • Premium feel with practical day-to-day usability.
Electronics & internal layout

Serviceable interior & logical zoning

Power electronics, comms and low-voltage sections are zoned for thermal management and EMC. Harnessing is routed for clear strain-relief; fixings are accessible with standard tools.

Thermal thinking
Heat paths, stand-offs and venting designed in from the start.
EMC awareness
Board partitioning, ground strategy and cable routing considered.
